In today’s digital era, where disruptive transformations constantly reshape our reality, I want to share—in just three minutes—the key “technology” that truly makes a difference in learning.
I firmly believe that communication is the most powerful tool we have when working with people.
There are various techniques we can use—recently, I talked about the potential of storytelling.
But today, I want to focus on a specific concept: transmedia storytelling. Transmedia storytelling refers to the creation of content and narratives that are distributed across multiple platforms and media to tell a story or deliver a message more effectively and engagingly.
It is widely used in branded content, allowing brands to create immersive stories that engage audiences across different channels.
But what about education? If you’ve watched the video, you already know why I believe transmedia storytelling is a game-changer for education and training.
How Transmedia Storytelling Transforms Learning
- Breaks knowledge into small, engaging learning objects
- Personalizes the learning process
- Adapts content to different learning paces, needs, digital skills, and comprehension levels
- Enhances motivation through community-based reinforcement
For all these reasons, I strongly advocate using transmedia narratives in education and training.
They allow us to create more engaging, effective learning experiences.
